Alpine Skiing, Freeskiing and Ski touring: new poles for pushing your limits

Cober srl

Technology and innovation can be great allies of the environment, especially in the mountains: Cober has always believed that the pole can support the rhythm and pace of those who travel towards the ecological transition.

And if it is true that the mountains are the laboratory of coexistence between man and nature and therefore the ideal context to develop the concept of sustainability, Cober pursues precisely the ambition of encouraging lovers of sport and nature to reach and overcome their limits, providing them with the best materials and tools.

For this reason, constant research into the innovation of materials and production machinery has always marked the company’s history.

For the 2021-2022 winter season, important innovations have been introduced in terms of design and attention to detail.

A winter to live to the fullest, with poles suitable for all needs and disciplines: Alpine skiing, for those who love the thrill of the descent, Freeski for fans of powder snow, and Ski touring, for lovers of the freedom that ski touring can offer.

Alpine skiing: what's new

Eagle – Cober’s top seller of the winter line, dedicated to professionals, comes in a new design, decorated using the environmentally friendly screen printing process that Cober has been using for 15 years. As always, the new graphics are screen-printed using solvent-free inks, eliminating any danger to the environment or to workers. The inks are also catalysed using UV light, which has an energy and environmental benefit.

Among the features of the stick is the Velcro loop, which is quick to adjust. The tube is made of 7075 aluminium, the best quality in terms of strength, with a 2.5 cm step, making it suitable for all heights.

Hero grip – The new Hero grip has been designed for greater comfort. The dimensions of the grip have been designed to adapt to any type of glove. It is composed of two different areas to ensure maximum ergonomics. The grip has also been made from two different materials, both for aesthetic and functional reasons: the softer material, together with the texture present on specific parts, creates greater friction between the glove and the rubber. The loop can be adjusted easily and quickly.

The poles in this category are designed for the most classic of winter disciplines: whether you want to go up and down the slopes all day long, or whether you prefer the classic descent to enjoy a good lunch in a mountain hut with friends.

HEROavailable in Yellow, Orange, White.

The bi-component grip is softer to the touch and provides a more ergonomic grip. The size of the grip has been designed to fit any glove. The strap is easily adjustable thanks to the quickstrap system. The tube is made of 7075 aluminium, the best quality for strength.

Sparkleavailable in Black, Petroleum, Bordeaux

The new ergonomic grip has been specially designed to fit women’s hands better. The light weight (190 g) makes this pole solid and easy to handle. The strap is easily adjustable thanks to the quickstrap system.

Descent Carbon – The lightest pole in the Cober line (175 g). The foam grip is characterised by its unique lightness. The carbon tube is lighter and more valuable.

Freeski

The sound of fresh snow, the view before the descent and the adrenaline rush of the first trick provide unique and unforgettable emotions every time. Freeski poles, extendable and fixed, with different grips to suit every need, allow fans to enjoy this experience to the full.

Lever – The long foam gripallows different grips, making it particularly suitable for freeride descents.

The lever, which adjusts the lower part, allows the pole to be used both uphill and downhill. The 7075 aluminium is particularly resistant to knocks, which makes it durable.

XL – The long foam knob allows different grips, making it particularly suitable for freeride descents. The pole has a 3D decoration that reproduces the logo as a pattern. The 7075 aluminium is particularly resistant to knocks, making it long-lasting.

Reverso – The foam grip allows different grips, making it particularly suitable for freeride descents. The lever at the top allows easy adjustment in all situations. The 7075 aluminium is particularly resistant to knocks, making it durable.

Ski Touring

Ski touring with Cober poles is synonymous with freedom, thanks to maximum grip, easy length adjustment and different grips, suitable for every situation, uphill and downhill.
